2012 Catch up
Wow! I don't even know where to start. As we go into 2013, Anastasia is 4 and AJ is 1. Blue is home with them during the day while I go to work at an insurance company. I have a great job with a great company. I would say we are good for each other. Just to catch up - AJ was born March 6, 2011. She came home to a house with no job, car, internet and on the verge of foreclosure, but she came home to a house of love. We lost power from SDG&E somewhere in there, but stuck it out and wouldn't change that still. Loosing my job at 9 months pregnant and the drama that followed was not enough to break my spirit and some of my best memories were during that time. My husband was strong. He would get up in the early morning to get wood for a fire and have pancakes ready for us by the time we woke up. Getting up early only inturrupted his Bible time and it was COLD, so I took advantage of sleeping in until Anastasia (or the baby when she was born) would get up. I learned who really cared about me and my family as we went through the most trying and financially difficult time of our lives. I will never forget who reached out to us then. We moved into an apartment with Bridgett in June (on her Birthday) when AJ was only 3 months old and carpooled to work for a year. I enjoyed having her there and things were usually great. Anastasia would watch her get ready from the bathroom door while she sat on her bathroom counter doing her makeup. I would occanionaly have to scold her for getting into her Aunt Bridgett's things, but it was pretty cute to see her in her aunties heals and eye shadow.
Kids need me - so off I go to help with a puzzle and pick up the change the baby got to.

Back to Work- One Month In
Things are going well and getting better as we learn our new schedule with me back to work. Blue is doing so good with Anastasia during the day- taking her to the Zoo and Wild Animal Park so she can run and see all the animals. I love the pictures he sends while I'm at work- they are little reminders of why I'm working so hard and we are apart. I know she is happy and well taken care of- and she is always so happy to see me! Things sure have changed since the ol' milk supply days.

No Time to Blog- I got a Job!
I have so much to add- but no time to do it... I love my new job and I love the way our family is working with Blue home. Everyone is happy, everyone is healthy. We are blessed, we are busy and we are thanking God for every moment.

Happy 4th of July!
Our Fourth of July family tradition continued again this year with a full day at the park. Blue made hot dogs, corn, and burgers on the bar-b-que that were eaten by our church family before they could get cold. After filling up on food we took full advantage of the ice cream truck parked right next to us. It was hard to resist going back for more, but the long lines were a good deterrent. We enjoyed being outside all day, but it was a bit cold due to the lack of sunshine.
I didn't take very many pictures, I was busy playing with the baby and husband or helping out with our church.
When it came time for the fireworks we climbed up on top of the 4runner and enjoyed the view. It didn't take long before I was the only one on top- Blue took her down when she wasn't all that excited about the booming and they sat inside with the sun roof open watching from the drivers seat. We were able to enjoy the fireworks until something went wrong and they had to stop the show unexpectedly. Parked closest to the Police Headquarters, we knew there would be no grand finale when they took off to direct traffic moments after an abrupt stop. Four people ended up going to the hospital with 11 injured when a firework took it's own path.
As always, we missed all the traffic by staying behind to help our church pick up all the jumpers and displays. I have always enjoyed the fellowship from this event- year after year we are blessed to be part of a church that really does reach out to the community without a forceful hand. The children can just play- no strings attached. I didn't have a chance to help with the balloon station this year, but I did monitor the jumpers briefly and had a good time doing it. Until next year...

Go Padres!
We recently went to watch the Padres play at Petco Park and had a blast! Blue hit one (or two) over the Park in the Park Field. Even Anastasia got in on the fun to hit off the tee and run the bases. The Padres won, continuing their winning streak with every game Anastasia has been to.... Yeah Padres!!

A Walk on the Beach
Tuesday, May 25, 2010
The month that flew by
May has so far been filled with friends and adventure. We have been to the beach several times and most recently to a Rodeo where Anastasia had the chance to ride a horse all by her self. She has made friends with her cousin Audrina, they are learning about sharing together as they play with chalk, legos, play kitchen and whatever else they can find outside. Every time Audrina and her family come over, Anastasia seems to have more letters in her vocabulary, 'O' being a big one this last month. They learn from each other and I love to watch them both.
We went to the beach with some friends this week and had a blast as expected. Anastasia played with her buddy Damien in the sand while we made and set up for a BBQ, hot dogs and hamburgers on the beach! mmmmmm mmmmmm!! Blue took her to the shore to let her play in the waves, she loved it. She toppled over when a big wave came- but was quick to get back on her feet and get going again. She and I both know she is safe in Daddy's arms- so I'm sure that had something to do with her swift return to play in the water. After that day at the beach, and a solid nap, we went to the Rodeo with the same friends- another great time by all! We were there on time so we got great seats to watch the girls with all their shiny western wear dancing in the arena before they let out the big o bulls. She watched with her Daddy from his shoulders on the side, but she really loved it when everyone would erupt with applause. "Yeah," she would join in as she clapped her hands with the crowd, it was wonderful.
